PRP

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and can take up to 20 minutes. The three main steps of the procedure are listed:

1. 1. 10 – 15 ml of blood are taken from a vein
   2. This is centrifuged to separate the components and extract the desired proportions
   3. The concentrated and collected platelets are injected into the treatment site(s)

The treatment is generally carried out three times in 1-week intervals. As the treatment is made from the patient’s blood, there is little risk involved.
