PRP COURSE OF THERAPY
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and can take up to 20 minutes. The three main steps of the procedure are listed:
- 10 – 15 ml of blood are taken from a vein
- This is centrifuged to separate the components and extract the desired proportions
- The concentrated and collected platelets are injected into the treatment site(s)
The treatment is generally carried out three times in 1-week intervals. As the treatment is made from the patient’s blood, there is little risk involved.
